Heart Health Month & Children’s Dental Awareness

February is officially recognized as Heart Health Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease prevention and management. This month serves as a crucial opportunity to educate individuals about the risks of heart disease and provide resources to help them make informed decisions about their heart health. It is also Children’s Dental Health month. Dental health begins even before teeth are developed! At NVIH, we are proud to support these important initiatives by sharing valuable resources, engaging social media posts, and practical tips aimed at helping our community better understand and take control of their heart health and ensure that your children’s dental health remains a priority. Throughout the month, we’ll be posting content that covers everything from heart disease prevention to healthy lifestyle habits, as well as dental facts so don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay informed and take advantage of these helpful resources.

On February 7th, we’ll join the nation in observing National Wear Red Day, a significant event during Heart Health Month that focuses specifically on women’s heart health. This day serves as a reminder that heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, and it’s essential to raise awareness and encourage action. We invite all of our staff and community members to wear red on this day as a show of support for women’s heart health. By participating, you’ll help spread the message about the importance of heart health and the steps we can all take to protect our hearts.

At NVIH, we remain committed to educating our community about the risks of heart disease and empowering individuals to make healthier lifestyle choices. We believe that through awareness, education, and a focus on prevention, we can all live healthier lives and reduce the impact of heart disease on our families and communities. Let’s work together to make heart health a priority not just in February, but all year long.
